History and Information
The Pilgrim Healers Group UK (PHG) was founded in 1993, in answer to the call from healers and complementary therapists for one healing organisation that represented all forms of healing and complementary therapy’s and to bring closer together all that honoured the high standard of practice associated with the Pilgrim Healers Group membership, including our Code of Conduct & Code of Ethics.
The PHG’s were also set up in response to many healers’ comments that the healing movement of the future should be more representative of the healers and complementary therapist’s themselves, with more information being passed onto members prior to any decision making, and with none of the bureaucracy that stems from committees or large organizations, which was a major concern of inquiring healers/practitioners, whilst retaining the recognised unified national standards concurrent to the existing healing movement. The PHG will therefore be managed by the four founder members, retaining our independent autonomy. It is essential that we are seen to represent a coherent, competently well trained and effectively regulated professional body of healers and therapist’s.
Our reputation as a caring, considerate and confidential healing group is of paramount importance to our members.
All our members believe that complementary therapists/healers are on a continuous pilgrimage of learning and adaptability whilst constantly striving to advance the high standards already achieved hence the name.
